About Chongqing:

Chongqing is primarily a mountainous region with mainly hilly terrain and is also adjacent to the Zhongliang Mountain Range, Tongluo Mountain Range, Yangtze River, and Jialing River in the central urban area, forming a unique landscape where mountains and water coexist. This has also laid the foundation for Chongqing's unique transportation system.

Chongqing is located in the junction of the central and western regions of China. It is the only super-large city in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River that has a comprehensive transportation network of water, land, and air resources, and it is also a comprehensive transportation hub in the western region. By 2030, it will have built a high-speed highway network of "Three Rings and Eighteen Arrows" and a railway network supported by the "Two Rings and Ten Main Lines and Multiple Branch Lines," forming a water transport basic network based on the "One Main Line and Six Branches," and a hub airport T3B terminal and the fourth runway will be completed; a national comprehensive railway hub will also be built. Jiangbei International Airport's annual passenger throughput ranks among the "top eight" airports in the country, and it has constructed an air, railway, and inland port transportation hub supported by the Yangtze River Golden Waterway, Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe International Railway, and others.

Chongqing is positioned as the fourth national transportation hub, specifically designated as an international comprehensive transportation hub city. Within the comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network main framework of the national six axes, seven corridors, and eight channels, three axes, two corridors, and one channel pass through Chongqing. The "Outline of the Construction Plan for the Chengdu-Chongqing Dual-city Economic Circle" clearly proposes to build Chongqing into a western international comprehensive transportation hub and an international gateway hub, as well as a pilot area for the construction of a strong transportation country. Chongqing is a national logistics hub city, the only one in the country with both port-type, land-port type, and airport-type logistics hubs.
